2026 MIDWEST CRANE COUNT

THE 2026 MIDWEST CRANE COUNT WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18TH.

Throughout the year our chapter offers several opportunities for citizen science.

One of those opportunities is the Midwest Crane Count. Anyone can participate in the count. Experience is not needed. If you are an inexperienced counter and want to learn more about cranes, we can partner you with someone who has more experience.

The count starts at 5:30 a.m. and concludes at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast with the group offered for those who want to share stories about their morning immersed with nature.
