Leonid Meteor Shower Campfire at our Elkhorn Creek Biodiversity Preserve. With the warmer weather trend we want to try for a November campfire, and with a little timing and weather luck, we’ll see a few shooting stars. Because of the time change making for an earlier sunset, we’ll have a short stroll at 4 p.m.; the campfire will begin at 4:30. Participants are welcome to bring a sack supper. S’mores will be provided. Bring a lawn chair, flashlight, insect repellent and water.

The preserve is located about 3 miles southwest of Forreston in the southeast corner of West Grove and Freeport Rds.

The parking lot is off of West Grove Rd. If weather is questionable call Mary at 815-938-3204.
