Field Trip to Nygren Wetlands – 9:30 am to 11:30 am
FIELD TRIP: NYGREN WETLAND
Saturday, March 28 | 9:30-11:30 a.m.
March is a time for waterfowl migration, and Nygren Wetland, located just west of Rockton, is a much used stopover place.
An observation deck there at 3714 W Rockton Road can provide good looks at ducks, geese, herons, pelicans and more.
Other observation spots are located around the perimeter of the wetland area which we may also walk to. At the conclusion participants can decide whether or not to go to a local eatery for lunch.
Those interested can carpool from the Harbor Freight parking lot at 8:30.
Call Richard Benning (815-865-5279) to register.
