Discussing the Issues – Feeding the Planet 1pm to 2:30pm
DISCUSSING THE ISSUES
Freeport Public Library (meeting room)
Friday, March 6 | 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
How can Planet Earth provide adequate nutrition for a predicted ten billion humans without seriously degrading its ecological integrity? A chart in a past issue of National Geographic magazine depicts how a group of scientists think this can be accomplished. We will discuss this chart and perhaps other food related issues.
Copies of the chart can be obtained at the February and March meetings, or by calling Richard Benning (815-865-5279).
