DESCRIPTION:Amboy Marsh To See the Purple Martins\nTuesday, June 25 8:30 a.m.– 1:30 p.m.\nCoordinator Teresa Smith\n815-238-2963\nJim Hampton with the Birdsong Chapter of Illinois Audubon has been monitoring the Purple Martin houses at Amboy Marsh the past 5 years. In 2023, they had an impressive 64 fledglings from 12 houses. We will spend the morning with Jim Hampton touring Amboy Marsh, listening to his stories of monitoring the houses over the past 5 years and hopefully seeing the Martins. We will meet at 9:30 a.m at The Nest at Amboy Marsh.\nCarpool from the Forreston municipal lot off HWY 26 at 8:30 a.m. or meet at The Nest at Amboy Marsh at 9:30 a.m. Parking is available in front of the Nest. Golf carts will be available for the tour so that we can visit several of the Martin houses without walking long distances. Address for Amboy Marsh is 1701 Morman Rd in Amboy.\nPlan to bring a sack lunch and water bottle as we will eat at The Nest and return to Forreston at about 1:30. Please confirm your attendance with Teresa at 815-238-3963 so that we can plan accordingly with the golf carts.\n
